The competition is open to any natural person who:

properly fills out the registration form,
sends a photo in the required format,
agrees to these rules and to the processing of personal data to the extent necessary for the organization of the competition.
• The contest is open to everyone (or only to persons 15+ according to the GDPR law 🇪🇺).
• Amateur and professional photographers can participate.
• The participant must be the author of the photo.
 
2. What data do we process

In connection with the Duel Photo competition, we may process in particular the following data:

name, nickname or stage name,
email,
country,
Instagram username,
competition photo,
technical data about registration and voting,
communication between the participant and the organizer,
data necessary for the delivery of the prize.

• Each participant can send a maximum of 1 photo.
• The photo must be in JPG or PNG format.
• Photo editing is allowed, but must be appropriate (no AI-generated images or extreme retouching).
• The photo must not infringe copyright, contain inappropriate, violent or defamatory content.
 
3. For what purposes do we use the data

We process your data for the following purposes:

registration for the competition,

verification of compliance with the conditions of participation,

publication of competition photos within the competition,

implementation of voting and protection against misuse,
evaluation of the competition and announcement of results,
contacting winners and handing over prizes,
resolving complaints, claims and legal claims,
ensuring the technical operation of the website and forms.

9. Copyright and use of photos

• The organizer reserves the right to publish and edit the photo by adding the logo (Duel Photo) and adding 1 place, the winner of the photo on its channels

(with the author's name) for the purpose of promoting the competition.
 
4. Legal basis for processing

We process personal data mainly on the following legal grounds:

fulfillment of the contractual relationship / carrying out steps at the request of the participant before entering the competition - for example, registration and administration of participation,

the consent of the data subject – especially when publishing a photo, nickname or username on the web and social networks, unless this is directly required by the rules,

the legitimate interest of the organizer – for example, protecting the competition from fraudulent voting, website security and defending legal claims,

Compliance with a legal obligation – if it is necessary to retain some data for accounting, tax or other legal obligations. The legal basis must be specified and explained under the GDPR.

The Organizer reserves the right to change, amend or cancel these rules if necessary. Changes will be published on the Organizer’s website.

We use the data exclusively for the purposes of registration, organization and evaluation of the Duel Photo competition, communication with participants and awarding prizes. Only our contractual partners who ensure the technical operation of the website and the competition for us may have access to the data, and only to the extent necessary.
